WICHITA, Kan. — A Wichita man has been sentenced to life in prison for the murders of two men last year.
Friday, 21-year-old Shawn Malik Brown was sentenced to two life sentences plus 228 months for the murders, that occurred in 2013.
Brown was found guilty in the shooting deaths of Shawn Rhone on January 2, 2013 and Adji Tampone on January 3, 2013.
He will serve 20 years on each life sentence before he's eligible for parole. The additional 228 months are for his other convictions of aggravated robbery, attempted aggravated robbery and criminal discharge of a weapon.
His brother Jerone Brown was a co-defendant in both cases and is set to be sentenced on April 11.
