RENO COUNTY, Kan. -- Authorities in Reno County believe a medical condition led to the death of a man who was found in his car Thursday morning.
Deputies were called around 10:30 a.m. to check on a vehicle in a field off of K-96 near Mills Avenue. That’s south of Hutchinson.
When deputies arrived on scene, they found the man dead, said Capt. Darrian Campbell. The car was still running and in gear.
Investigators believe the man possibly suffered a stroke or cardiac arrest before his car left the roadway, crossed the median and came to rest in a field.
The man’s name has not been released. The incident is still under investigation.
