SEDGWICK COUNTY, Kan. -- An investigation is underway after a man was found beaten, telling deputies he had been kidnapped.
Around 2 a.m. this morning, Sedgwick County sheriff's deputies were dispatched to the 14000 block of West Pawnee to check a man knocking on the windows of a residence asking for help.
Deputies found with 40-year-old Pratt man with obvious injuries to his face. He told the officers that he had been beat up and kidnapped from an unknown location in Pratt earlier in the evening. The man was then taken to an area hospital for treatment.
Soon after, deputies located a crime scene near 2600 South 151st Street West.
The sheriff's office contacted the Pratt Police Department and investigators are trying to find out what exactly happened. Anyone with information is asked to call Sheriff Investigations at (316) 660-5300.
