WICHITA, Kan. -- One man is recovering at a local hospital, and two men are in jail following a stabbing early Saturday morning in south Wichita.
Sgt. Ron Hunt said the 27-year-old victim arrived at Via Christi-St. Joseph Hospital around 3:30 a.m., suffering "large lacerations to his forehead and his right arm." He was then taken to St. Francis in critical condition. His current condition is unknown.
The victims told investigators he was beat-up and stabbed by six or seven other men in the 2800 block of South Ida. Officers found a blood trail in that area and followed it to a nearby residence, Sgt. Hunt said. Two 18-year-old men inside were arrested for aggravated battery.
Information on the other suspects was not available.
