WICHITA, Kan. — A man has been convicted in the murder of a Wichita teen whose body was found in a field last year.

On Thursday, a jury convicted 21-year-old Kristopher Wright of first degree murder in the death of 19-year-old Jordan Turner.

Turner's body was found in a field near 127th East and Pawnee on May 1. Investigators said he had been shot about a month before his body was discovered.

Police originally arrested four suspects, but only charged three: Wright, Ebony Nguyen and Eric Jackson. Nguyen's trial is scheduled to begin next week.

Wright's sentencing date has not yet been set.

Turner had been a football player at Wichita South High School, as well as Coffeyville Community College and Arizona Western College.
