KANSAS CITY, Kan. (KMBC) — A 23-year-old Shawnee, Kan., man is facing charges in connection with the deadly shooting of a man outside City Hall in Kansas City, Kansas.
Jeffrey W. Platt. Jr., has been charged with first degree premeditated murder.
Marlon Williams was shot in the head outside KCK City Hall around 3 p.m. on January 16 and later died at a hospital.
City Hall was locked down for a period of time while police investigated the shooting.
Platt is expected to appear in court on Tuesday. Bond is set at $1 million.
