Man causes ruckus at youth baseball practice

WICHITA, Kan. -- A man is under arrest after making threats and being aggressive towards a coach with a bat at a youth baseball practice.

It happened around 3 P.M. at McAdams Park near 17th and Wabash in north Wichita.

A man walking down the street decided to walk into the baseball diamond at the park and according to witnesses, demanded that the locked restroom be opened.

Coaches at the practice ushered the kids away from the man as he then picked up a bat and started hitting baseballs that were teed up.

Police were called after the man started to get aggressive towards one of the coaches while holding the bat.

The man was arrested for aggravated assault. Police are investigating if the man was on drugs or intoxicated.

No one was injured and once the man was taken into custody, the practice was able to start back up.
