Police are investigating after a man was stabbed multiple times early Sunday morning in south Wichita. It happened around 2 a.m. in the 1000 block of South Broadway.
Wichita Police Sgt. Bart Brunscheen says the victim, a 28-year-old man, was walking with a friend when he was confronted by a 35-year-old man in an alley.
The-35-year-old began stabbing the victim in the back, neck, head and face. He was taken to the hospital in critical condition with approximately 20 knife wounds, but his injuries are not considered life-threatening.
Brunscheen says the stabbing may have stemmed from past problems between the two men.
No arrests have been made. A description of the suspect was not provided.
