A man is dead after being shot at his home during a Thursday morning home invasion.
The shooting was reported at 6:35 a.m. at a residence located at 447 NE Arter in Topeka.
A spokesperson for the Topeka Police department said that when officers arrived, they found a resident of the home, Juan Solis, age 29 of Topeka, with a life-threatening gunshot wound to the chest.
AMR arrived to the scene and Solis was pronounced dead a short time later.
Police are looking for three suspects. All were wearing masks and fled the home in an unknown direction after the crime happened.
One other adult and four children were in the home at the time of the invasion. They were not injured.
