Police are looking for a suspect who shot a man who was waiting a northwest Wichita drive-thru Sunday night.
Just before 7 p.m. Sunday, a 30-year-old man was at the drive-thru at Wendy's near 21st and Amidon when another man walked up to his car and asked for the time.
The driver became suspicious and tried to drive away, but the suspect pulled a gun and fired at the car. A round went through the car door and hit the victim in the leg.
The man is still being treated at a Wichita hospital and is listed in fair condition.
Officers are looking for a black man in his 30s with several tattoos on his arms. He was reportedly wearing a white shirt, red shorts and may have been driving a red Ford Explorer.
Police said that after the victim was shot, he got out of his car and put something in his trunk before calling 911. They're waiting on permission to search the trunk.

A man in his twenties is in stable condition after a shooting incident near 21st and Amidon.
It happened outside of a fast food restaurant in the parking lot of the Twin Lakes shopping center. Sgt. Ed Brower said when police arrived, they found the victim, a man in his twenties, with a gunshot wound to the leg.
The man was taken to Wesley Medical Center for treatment. Police are still working to determine what lead up to the shooting.
