A man was hospitalized early Sunday morning after two men at a southeast Wichita house party reportedly punched him and hit him with a 2x4 over his success at beer-pong, Wichita police said.
The incident happened around 2 a.m. at a home near Pawnee and Oliver.
Sgt. Bart Brunscheen said the 25-year-old victim was at a party with a friend and was doing well at a game of beer-pong, which upset his two opponents. This started a verbal argument.
During the argument, one of the two men punched the victim in the head while the other hit him with a 2-inch by 4-inch piece of wood.
The victim suffered lacerations to his face and head, which required seven stitches and two staples. Brunscheen said he did not know the two men and could not remember the exact location of the party.
No arrests have been made.
