A teen claims a road rage incident led to him being beaten by five men in west Wichita.

It happened around 2:30 a.m. near the Wichita Ballroom in the 4100 block of West Kellogg.

After arriving at Via Christi on Harry, the 18-year-old victim told police the five occupants of another vehicle became angry after he cut them off in traffic, Sgt. Bar Brunscheen said.

It wasn't immediately known how the two parties came to be in a parking lot, Brunscheen said, but once there, the victim was reportedly punched, kicked and beaten with a wrench. He was treated for several bruises, cuts and a laceration to his forehead that exposed some of his skull. His injuries are not considered life-threatening.

No arrests have been made. No suspect and vehicle descriptions were given.
