A man is being treated at an area hospital after being shot multiple times late Wednesday night in southeast Wichita.
Police received the call just before midnight from the 800 block of South Mission. Officers believe the 36-year-old man was standing outside his car in an alley on South Mission when he was shot.
Reports state he was approached by four or five men, one of whom pulled a gun and began firing. The victim was hit once in the upper chest. He was taken by private vehicle to Via Christi-St. Joseph Hospital but was transferred to St. Francis. He was last listed in critical condition.
No arrests have been made. Descriptions of the suspects weren’t immediately available.
