The Kansas Star Casino will hold an employment open house Tuesday, July 26 at the Century II Exhibition Hall in downtown Wichita from 10 a.m. until 3 p.m.

The casino plans to hire 500 people when its first phase is completed in early 2012 in the city of Mulvane. Plans are to add another 300 employees as additional phases of construction are completed.

Set to open in 2012, the initial phase of the Kansas Star will feature 1310 of the "newest, hottest slots" along with 32 "favorite table games" including blackjack, craps, roulette, 3 card poker, dining and free parking.

The second phase of construction will offer 1,750 slots, 50 table games and a 5 table poker room. The Kansas Star Dealer School is scheduled to start in late August 2011. All applicants interested in enrolling in the free training provided by Kansas Star Casino will be required to complete a "Dealer School" application.
