A Greenwood County, Kan., man has been sentenced to federal prison for manufacturing and possessing incendiary bombs.
Alfred C. Dutton, 65, Eureka, was sentenced to 21 months in federal prison. Dutton pleaded guilty to one count of unlawful possession of unregistered destructive devices. Investigators served a search warrant at Outback Storage Building, in Eureka, Aug. 23, 2011. They found five incendiary bombs in Dutton's storage unit.
Dutton’s lawyer told the court that Dutton was preparing for the end of the world as we know it. Dutton collected medical supplies, non-perishable foods and clothing because he believed the world economy was on the verge of collapse.
