COTTONWOOD FALLS, Kan. — A Kansas man is dead following a rollover crash earlier this week in Chase County.
KVOE News in Emporia reports the crash happened around 11:20 p.m. Wednesday about two miles south of Cottonwood Falls. Chase County Sheriff Richard Dorneker told KVOE that a vehicle was northbound on Highway 177 when it left the roadway.
The car then reportedly traveled several hundred feet, partially jumped a creek and flipped at least once.
The driver, 19-year-old Hunter Scott of Strong City, was pronounced dead at the scene. No one else was in the car.
