Kansas man collapses, dies after bike ride

EMPORIA, Kan. — A Kansas man is dead after collapsing while riding a bicycle.

KVOE News in Emporia reports that Kansas Highway Patrol troopers and Lyon County deputies were called out to the 3200 block of Kansas Highway 99 shortly after 7 p.m. Sunday.

There, they found a man who had apparently collapsed while riding his bicycle. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

He's been identified as 58-year-old Kenneth Young. The cause of death is currently unknown. Autopsy results are pending.
