A former Sedgwick County jail deputy who was released on bond last year amid charges of sexually assaulting inmates at the jail is back in custody.
Jail records indicate that David Kendall was jailed early Thursday afternoon on "failure to comply" charges. His current bond is $1,000,000.
Further details were not provided.
Kendall was first released on bond in August of last year and was ordered to wear a GPS tracking device. His preliminary hearing is scheduled for August 19.
He faces 12 counts of various charges, including aggravated criminal sodomy, sexual battery and criminal solicitation. Prosecutors said he sexually assaulted at least six inmates from April 1 to the middle of June 2012.
