WICHITA, Kan Wednesday 9:17 A.M. 2900 N. Governour

A man told police his wife received a call saying her debit card had been blocked. To unblock it the caller said she needed to give her credit card number and personal information. The woman hung up.

Wednesday 9:52 a.m. 1000 S. Bluffview

70-year-old woman receives a letter stating she won $250,000 in a sweepstakes. Enclosed was a check she could use for processing fees. She was instructed to cash the check and the balance was hers. After she mailed the payment she would receive the reward.

Wednesday 10:49 a.m. 1900 N. Joann

A man received a call telling him there are breeches in his computer that could be fixed for a certain amount of money. The man ended the call by hanging up.
