WICHITA, Kan. -- All eyes will be on thunderstorm development in Northeast Colorado and Southwest Nebraska this afternoon and evening. Storms that develop could track southeast into Northwest Kansas. These storms could be severe with the greatest threat being large hail and high wind.

These storms will continue to push south and east across KAKEland. As they track southeast they will eventually weaken...as a result, severe weather is not expected here in Wichita.

Showers and storms will be possible in Wichita after midnight, but these will most likely NOT be severe. Rain will likely continue into Thursday morning. Locally heavy rain across South Central Kansas will be possible through Thursday morning.
