A Hutchinson man is dead after police say he likely drowned in an above-ground swimming pool.
According to a news release from the Hutchinson Police Department, officers were sent to a home in the 3000 block of Garden Grove Parkway about 6:15 p.m. Tuesday. The officers who arrived found that Gerald Alfieri, 63, had been removed from a pool in the back yard of a home in that neighborhood. Emergency crews tried to revive Alfieri, but those efforts were unsuccessful.
The official cause of death will not be determined until an autopsy has been completed.
