A Hutchinson Air Force veteran has claimed a winning Powerball ticket worth $1 million.

Matthew Packebush purchased a $2 Quick Pick ticket in the June 30 drawing. His ticket matched the first five Powerball numbers.

The winning numbers were 07-15-20-41-44 Powerball 22. Packebush's Powerball was 10.

Packebush said he realized he hit it big shortly after the drawing Saturday night.

“I went over to Dillons, purchased a ziplock bag and clear tape and I actually taped it to my chest,” he said.

Packebush said he will use the money to help fund his son’s college education.
