High winds cause damage in Kansas

Storms with strong winds caused limited damage in Kansas Monday afternoon.

A wind gust was clocked at 77 miles per hour in Elkhart, Kansas.

Winds estimated between 65 and 70 miles per hour were reported in Viola, in Sedgwick County. Spotters reported large tree limbs down southeast of Viola.

The wind snapped power poles in the Pratt and Cheney areas.

Straight line winds also caused fence damage in Augusta.
