An iconic Kansas company has landed in bankruptcy.

Bloomberg reports that Fuller Brush Co. filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy on Tuesday.

The Great Bend company, once known for its army of door-to-door salesmen selling brooms and other cleaning products, filed along with its parent company, CPAC Inc, in bankruptcy court in New York, according to the Bloomberg story.

CPAC, including Fuller, was bought out by Buckingham Capital Partners in 2007.

According to the Great Bend Chamber of Commerce’s website, Fuller Brush employs about 225 people.
