A control burn grows out of control, burning over 100 acres of farmland in Harper County.

According to firefighters, around 8:30am Sunday morning, the Anthony Fire Department was dispatched to a farm pasture 4 miles south and 2 miles west of Anthony for a control burn that became out of control.

Firefighters from Anthony, Harper, and Attica assisted in fighting the fire, as well as three fire departments from Oklahoma.

Authorities say that two trucks were damaged as they were fighting the blaze.

One fire truck became stuck in a ditch and was scorched by the burning grass. Another had over heated and caught fire. The small fire was put out and the truck is being repaired.

The fire took around 4 hours to bring under control. No one was hurt.
