The Kansas Honor Flight Golf Tournament is being held at Willowbend Golf Course this Monday June 9th beginning with a breakfast honoring our military heroes at 7:00 am. At 8:00 am, there will be a special presentation of the American flag delivered by a parachute team featuring a Stearman flyover.

The Kansas Honor Flight Program is dedicated to flying veterans to war memorials in Washington. These flights, honor our World War II, Korean, and Vietnam Era war veterans and allow them to honor their fellow soldiers.

John Combs, tournament committee chairman says the foursomes are full with 144 golfers registered. Along with sponsor donations, the Kansas Honor Flight organization will be able to fly and accommodate 75 more veterans this year to Washington. The flights are free to veterans.

Visitors are welcome to attend the opening presentation honoring our veterans at 8:00 am at Willowbend Golf Club.
