Flash flood watch issued in South Central Kansas

A flash flood watch is in effect for South Central Kansas, including Sedgwick County.

Counties in the watch include Butler, Cowley, Harvey, Sedgwick and Sumner in South Central Kansas. Southeast Kansas counties in the watch area include Allen, Chautauqua, Elk, Greenwood, Labette, Montgomery, Neosho, Wilson and Woodson. The watch is in effect until 7:00 p.m.

The Butler County Sheriff's Department said the low water bridge at Tawakoni and Parallel is impassable to all vehicles due to high water over the bridge.

McPherson County reports street flooding in these areas;

- First and Railroad, Canton
- 27th and Sioux, County
- 28th and Smokey Valley, County
- several low lying spots on County Roads
