Firefighters from Wichita and Sedgwick County worked together to battle a fire at a north Wichita recycling plant. The fire was reported just after 3 p.m. Sunday at Glickman Metal Recycling Incorporated in the 2900 block of North Emporia Circle.

Crews arriving on scene found a large amount of black smoke coming from a pile of burning metal shavings. The pile was next to a building.

Firefighters were able to protect the building and get the fire under control in about 15 minutes. Crews remained on the scene through the afternoon working to make sure the fire was fully extinguished.
