MCPHERSON COUTNY, Kan. -- A standoff in McPherson County that began early Sunday morning has ended with the suspect being taken into custody.
Officers were called just after 2 a.m. Sunday to a domestic disturbance the 900 block of 25th Avenue, which is southeast of the town of McPherson, Capt. Joe Hoffman said.
Tactical teams from both McPherson and Harvey counties, as well as a Wichita BearCat unit, responded to the scene.
The suspect later surrendered without incident, Hoffman said. No injuries were reported.
Also on standby at the scene were law enforcement and rescue crews from Moundridge, Canton, Lifeteam, Eaglemed, and the American Red Cross.
