UPDATE: KHP identifies pilot killed in NW Kansas plane crash

ELLIS, Kan. — One person has been killed in a plane crash in northwest Kansas.

The Kansas Highway Patrol reports that a fixed-wing single-engine plane went down in a field around 10:30 a.m. Friday just southeast of 170th and St. John - St. Andrew Road in Ellis County.

The pilot has been identified as Garrett Moore, 23, of Oakley.

The aircraft was an Air Tractor AT-401B spray plane owned by Frontier AG of Oakley.
