An elderly man has been critically injured in a crash in Reno County.
The crash happened at the intersections of K-14 and US-50 at around 3:45 p.m.
Capt. Wayne Baughman says that a 2004 Ford F-150, driven by 81-year-old Donald Dye of Kingman, was southbound on K-14. Dye stopped but then pulled in front a semi pulling a grain trailer going east on US-50. The semi collided with the pick-up.
The driver of the pick-up was pinned in the vehicle until freed by fire units and EMS. He was listed in critical conditions at the scene and was being transported by ground EMS until an EagleMed helicopter could meet with them along the route to a Wichita hospital.
The 32-year-old driver of the semi, Donald Lawson of Hilsboro, was not hurt.
Both drivers were wearing seatbelts.
