An elderly woman’s glasses and TV were stolen during a home invasion Saturday evening. It happened around 8:45 p.m. in the 1500 block of East 15th Street North.
Wichita Police Sgt. Scott Brunow says the woman went to answer a knock at her door, recognized the man but refused to let him in.
The man then pushed his way into the residence and asked for money. When the victim said she had no money, the man took her glasses and a 19-inch TV. She was not injured.
The victim and witnesses say the man goes by “Charles.” He is described as a black male, 30 to 40 years old, 5 foot 4, and of medium build. He was last seen wearing dark pants and a brown jacket.
Anyone with information is asked to call 911.
