WICHITA, Kan. -- Wichita police ticketed drivers at one of the busiest intersections in hopes of stopping accidents.

Tuesday morning, police cited 7 drivers in less than an hour for turning right on red without stopping at 21st and Maize. KAKE News also caught several drivers on camera breaking the law as well.

Driver and mother Jessica Maddox has two young children. She worries every time she drives through that intersection.

"It's scary," said Maddox. "I don't want anyone run into me. I would appreciate if everyone follow the rules."

Police say there have been numerous accidents because people aren't stopping at the red light before turning right. They ask that you follow the rules, so no one gets hurt.
