WICHITA, Kan. — A man who was shot multiple times while driving has been upgraded to good condition.
The man and his passenger were in a car near 12th and Hillside when a silver SUV with four people inside pulled up and fired shots into the car.
The 25-year-old driver was hit four times in the legs. He was taken to a local hospital in serious condition, but has since improved.
The passenger in the car was not injured.
Police say the driver and his passenger knew the suspects in the shooting, and the shooters pose a limited risk to other people.
"These individuals were specifically targeting these individuals," said Sgt. JT Ryan. "They had a beef with them and they decided to settle it on the street here."
The driver and passengers in the silver SUV have not yet been located by police.
