WICHITA, Kan. — Numerous people have been treated at Wichita hospitals for fireworks-related injuries.
A Wesley Medical Center spokesperson estimates 45 patients have been treated for injures from July fourth up to today.
At Via Christi, 17 patients have been treated at their regional burn center. Only one had to be admitted, and is currently listed in serious condition.
A Via Christi spokesperson said patients are still coming in because people are still shooting fireworks. Fireworks were legal to shoot in city limits until midnight Sunday morning.
