A Wichita family is devastated after dognappers stole their two Yorkshire terriers.
Amber Uthe says it happened so fast Wednesday afternoon that it stunned her.
Uthe says she was cleaning out her car in the driveway while the puppies were playing in the yard. Uthe says she turned away for a few seconds to say something to her children. But she says she turned back around just in time to see a gray car driving away with the two pups.
Scooter is a 16-week-old, and Cooter is a 14-week-old pup.
Uthe says police and local vets tell her thieves steal expensive pups then post them for sale on Craigslist or wait for a reward to be posted to return pups they claimed they found.
Right now Uthe says she wants the dognappers to return the pups with no questions asked.
