WICHITA, Kan. — Sedgwick County sheriff's deputies issued several citations during a seat belt saturation patrol late last week.
The enforcement was conducted last Thursday night in an undisclosed part of Sedgwick County.
During the patrol, deputies issued citations for 24 adult seat belt violations and 1 to a teen. Thirteen citations were also written for other traffic violations and misdemeanors.
One person was arrested for transporting an open container of an alcoholic beverage and possession of marijuana.
The Sedgwick County Sheriff's Office wants to get the message out to drivers that if you're not wearing your seat belt, they'll be watching tonight.
From 6 to 10 p.m. Thursday, deputies will conduct a seat belt saturation patrol in an undisclosed part of Sedgwick County.
Deputies will be enforcing seat belt laws, supported by a grant from the Kansas Department of Transportation.
