Deputies investigate cattle theft in Pratt County

PRATT, Kan. -- Deputies are investigating the theft of several head of cattle in Pratt County.

Sometime during the night of Tuesday, February 11, the suspect or suspects took 12 black and black-white face cows from a pasture in the northwest portion of the county.

Each weighs between 1,300 and 1,500 pounds and has a "WF" brand on the right hip and a red tag in the right ear with the initials "DW" on the front of the tag.

According to the Pratt County Sheriff's Office, they are bred and could calve any day.
