Three people, including a mother and daughter, could face charges after a series of thefts in southern Sedgwick County last weekend.
Around 3:30 Sunday morning, Sedgwick County sheriff's deputies and Haysville police officers were dispatched to a larceny call in the 8100 block of South Victoria.
When officers arrived, they found a car matching the description given by the 911 caller. Inside was a man, woman and a teenage girl, along with a purse that had been stolen.
Officers arrested a 19-year-old Mulvane man and a 35-year-old Haysville woman. The woman's 15-year-old daughter was released to her father, but she could be charged as an accomplice.
The Sedgwick County Sheriff's Office says there were a total of 15 thefts within the same one-mile radius from Friday night until Sunday morning, and investigators believe these three were involved.
In those cases, the suspects broke into cars, sheds and garages and took items such as tools and electronics.
Formal charges are pending.
