There was plenty of family friendly fun going on in the Delano District Saturday. St. Patrick’s Day events started early in the morning and were planned until about 9 p.m. Saturday night, but the most popular draw was a huge parade that kicked off at high noon.

Clocking in at about an hour and a half long, there was a lot to see at the Sixth Annual St. Patrick’s Parade. We found one man who tells us marching in Saint Patrick's Day parades has been a lifelong tradition.

“It's been a family tradition for as long as I can remember,” Kevin Voth said.

Voth says this year's event blew past parades out the water.

"Two years ago there was like 25 floats and this years there's definitely the most attendance I’ve seen and definitely the most floats. Looks like they need to get a longer parade route next year,” Voth said.

Saturday's parade ran down Douglas Avenue from the Arkansas River to Walnut Street and featured a long line of floats, cars, horses and community organizations.
