Crews from several agencies are battling a field fire in Phillips County in northwest Kansas.
Robert Tebbs with The Logan Republican says crews ware called to the fire around 11:45 a.m. It started in wheat stubble just north of the town of Logan and has since spread into a pasture. Highway 9 has been closed in the area.
We've gotten reports that one fire truck was destroyed and a helicopter has been called in to help fight the fire.
High winds and temperatures have reportedly contributed to spreading of the fire, which was brought under control later in the evening.
The cause of the fire is under investigation. No injuries have been reported.
