WICHITA, Kan. -- Crews battled a fire Thursday evening at a southeast Wichita home.
Firefighters were called just after 5:30 p.m. to a home in the 4300 block of East Ross Parkway. Smoke and flames were visible when they arrived on scene, said Battalion Chief Sid Newby.
The fire was extinguished, and no injuries were reported. The Red Cross was called to assist two adults and two children who live at the home.
A damage estimate has yet to be determined, but Newby said it is significant. The cause is under investigation.
