PARK CITY, Kan. -- A fire caused extensive damage to a Park City home Wednesday evening.
Firefighters were called around 6:15 p.m. to the 1600 block of Fallbrook. That's near 85th Street North and Hydraulic. When they arrived on scene, crews found smoke and flames coming from the rear of the house.
A man who was inside the home was able to get out safely.
Division Chief Doug Williams said the fire caused extensive damage from the back deck all the way up into the attic of the two-story home. Embers also sparked a small grass fire in the backyard.
The cause of the fire is still under investigation, and a damage estimate has yet to be determined.
