Crews are trying to get a garage fire in north Wichita under control.
The fire broke out shortly before 10:30 a.m. Wednesday in a detached garage at a home in the 2900 block of North Shelton. That's near 29th and Arkansas in north Wichita.
Firefighters on scene have since gone defensive, meaning it has become unsafe for crews to fight the fire from inside the building. All firefighters have been pulled out while they try to extinguish the fire from the outside.
