Wichita fire crews battled a house fire on the city's northeast side late Tuesday afternoon.
Firefighters arrived in the 1700 block of North Chautauqua around 5:45 p.m. to find heavy smoke and flames emanating from the one-story structure.
Three people who were inside the home got out safely. No injuries were reported.
The fire was brought under control around 6 p.m.
The cause is under investigation, and a damage estimate has yet to be determined.
