Cooler temperatures and rain chances return to KAKEland this weekend.

After much of the state enjoyed temperatures in the 80s on Friday, highs for Saturday and Sunday will be 20 to 30 degrees cooler. Mostly cloudy skies and gusty northeast winds of 15-30mph will make it feel even cooler.

There is also the chance for some showers late in the day through northern Kansas. Better rain chances statewide will enter the Saturday night into Sunday morning. The rain should mix with or change over to snow after midnight in the northern half of the state. No significant accumulations are expected, but some locations could see around 1 inch, mainly on grassy surfaces.

Any showers or wintry mix should wrap up by late Sunday morning, but temperatures will still be on the cool side with highs tomorrow in the mid 40s to lower 50s.
