CONWAY SPRINGS, Kan.--- Conway Springs Police continue to search for a male driver who flashed two elementary school aged girls early this week.
"It bothers me that our children are in danger and it's scary," said Lorie Zoglmann, resident.
The incident happened near Sixth Avenue and Spring Street, in downtown Conway Springs, around 4 p.m. Monday. Police said two girls were approached by a male driver as they were walking.
"Started talking to them, asking them questions about where streets were in town. That's when they said that he offered them the money and started touching himself," said Conway Springs Police Chief Chris Reed.
The superintendent for the district was notified of the incident late Monday and sent out an email to all parents on Tuesday morning. He praised the girls for getting a description of the suspect and running away to tell adults.
"Very proud of them. They screamed and ran and that's what they did do and he took off, so, it could've been a lot worse." said Superintendent Clay Murphy.
The suspect is described as a white man, late 20's or early 30's, tan, medium sized build, dark brown or black goatee or mustache, and bald. The man was driving a tan or gold colored mid-sized sedan with light colored interior. If you have any information or see anything suspicious, call police.
