SALINA, Kan. — The two owners of a Salina convenience store have been arrested for selling potpourri containing a banned substance.

On Thursday, members of the Salina Police Department's Drug Task Force arrested the owners of Pump Mart, located at 1118 N. 9th.

Police say the owners had recently sold a package of potpourri labeled, "Green Giant Potpourri" to a confidential informant. That package was taken to a KBI lab and tested positive for a banned substance.

Officers executed a search warrant at the store, and found cash, illegal potpourri and other drug paraphernalia.

Shobhnaben Mody, 53, and Rasikbhia Mody, 60, were booked on charges of distribution of a controlled substance, possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Rasikbhia Mody was arrested last month for allegedly groping a woman inside the store. Click here to read more about that story. He was accused of a similar crime in April, and had previously served prison time for sexual battery.
