Salina, Kan. -- Salina Police were called to the Central Mall movie theater after a concealed-carry gun owner was asked to leave the theater.

It happened around 11 a.m. Tuesday. Captain Mike Sweeney says theater customers approached staff, concerned about the man who was armed with a concealed gun. Several customers had asked for their money back.

The man, who has a concealed carry permit, became upset that he had been asked to leave and noted that the theater did not have signs indicating they didn't allow guns inside.

Officers informed the man that it was the business' right to refuse service to anyone. Sweeney says the man was cooperative with officers and was not a threat to anyone.
