Winfield, Kan. -- Several companies in Cowley County have help wanted signs out.
So in order to get job applicants and employers together a two day Job fair is being held.
'Cowley County Economic Development Partnership' is putting the event together with 24 employers seeking to fill 300 positions.
Wednesday is the next Job fair. It will be on the Cowley College campus in Arkansas City from 3:pm until 5:30.
Kerri Falletti with Cowley County Economic Development Partnership says, "Cowley County has a lot of businesses which are really experiencing a lot of growth right now."
Falletti says, "Today we have over 300 openings roughly between the 24 employers."
AND SHE EXPECTS MORE JOBS TO FOLLOW THESE.
"And looking out the next couple of years we have at least a couple, three hundred that we know of as well."
She says the job fairs are drawing applicants from about a 60 mile radius of Cowley County.
